WHO WE ARE
Clear Path Counseling is a group of mental health providers who believe deeply in the power of relationships and shared experiences. We believe in the importance of seeing each person fully, learning about you in the context of your family, as well as your spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health. We specialize in providing therapy sessions for adults wrestling with anxiety, depression, and the complexities of relationships.
What sets us apart is our focus on individual assessment and tailoring your treatment to your specific needs. We also emphasize clear goals in therapy so that the processes remains effective and you are able to see the clear path toward those goals. We get that each person’s journey is unique, with different struggles, desires, and stories. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, we work together with you to create a path that matches your goals.

Meet our team
Tim Barron
As a counselor at Clear Path, I’m here to help you navigate the complexities of anxiety, depression, and relationships. For me, serving others is more than a profession—it’s a lifelong passion.
My extensive background in mental health spans over a decade, with a focus on campus mental health. In the past I have served as the director of Counseling Services at Xavier University, providing a unique perspective that deeply resonates with students. This wealth of experience, combined with a Doctorate in Education, has refined my counseling expertise over the years.
In my private practice, I specialize in couples therapy, guiding relationships through different stages. Whether you’re married, single, or simply seeking clarity, counseling can make a real difference.

Gene Johnson
My passion, as a licensed mental health professional, is to help my clients create space in their lives, and a “Clear Path” forward. I have dedicated my life to helping others navigate through the various personal and interpersonal challenges. Have you ever faced grief/ bereavement, addiction, emotional dysregulation, distress intolerance and relationship discord? I espouse helping all, to be in relationships that promote positive connection, safety and mutual success! Let’s work together to create health and wellbeing through maintaining a heart – body connection in the balance of work, life, and relationships.
When I am not in the office I enjoy my life as a husband, father, and grandfather. I also enjoy my practice in the martial arts and music ministry.
I look forward to working with you in strengthening what the late Alice Miller, a renowned international psychologist of the 20th century, called the “enlightened witness”. In that, “through my kindness and tenderness and focused attentive love”, I will help you to remember, to return to your basic goodness …to your True Authentic Self!

Susan Twehues
As the office manager and intake coordinator at Clear Path Counseling, I bring over twenty years of experience in various aspects of patient/client care to my role. With a passion for helping clients navigate towards healing and growth, I am dedicated to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals and couples seeking counseling services. My hope is that my commitment to efficient office management and compassionate client care allows me to facilitate a seamless and positive experience for all who walk through our doors.

About the job
Clear Path Counseling is looking for experienced, licensed clinicians interested in couples and individual counseling to work at our Cincinnati, Ohio office. Eligible applicants must be licensed in Ohio.
Currently, we are accepting applications for: LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist who has a current OH License with a preference given to those who are independently licensed.
This position will be transitioning from part time to full time as the clinician develops a full caseload. Full time employees are required to complete 25 billable sessions per week and the compensation package includes health reimbursement account, paid time off, paid holidays, 401k plan with company match, and money
towards continuing education.
We are also accepting applications for part time employment. A minimum of 15 billable hours per week is
required.
We offer our therapists beautiful office space, administrative support, monthly clinical supervision, use of an electronic health record, and opportunities for social outings with colleagues.
